It was that time of year again , holiday time for Interest link Roxburgh. Haggerston Castle was our destination. Interest Link hired three caravans and David from Teviot Wheels was waiting for us all in Hawick. The members boarded the bus, luggage stored safely, and the journey began.
As David drove Teviot Wheels through the barrier at Haggerston, everyone was looking forward to seeing their personal caravans and where they would all be staying for two nights. The site was idyllic with a beautiful lake in the middle of the park. After settling into allocated vans, everyone decided to meet up and have a wander around the park to try and find our bearings. Mash and Barrel Restaurant suited our needs for supper, and afterwards time was spent in each others’ caravans socializing before retiring for the night.
Next day was time for activities: Louise said “I liked doing the Pottery this morning. It was a really good experience with the Birds of Prey because I’ve never done that before.
I’ve made a lot of new friends in the Roxburgh Branch and in Berwickshire as well. I feel much more confident trying new and different things”. Norman added “The other thing I really enjoyed was holding a snake and that spider”.
