Roxburgh Branch
The Roxburgh Branch is based in Hawick and runs its groups at various community venues there.
The Branch covers all of Roxburghshire except Kelso (which is covered by the Berwickshire Branch). Val started the Roxburgh Branch in 2001, and several of her early volunteers are still linked up now. It runs Interest Link’s long-standing Caledonian Group, which has recently celebrated its 15th birthday.  The occasion, and an overnight tip  was marked by an independent evaluation by Graham Ford and the group is currently making a video. Graham has also produced an evaluation of the Branch as a whole,  using a newspaper format. Roxburgh recently piloted Interest Link’s first ever overnight 1:1 trip, to Newcastle, which was a great success. The children’s group recently made a video Schluedo with BAFTA award-winning film producer Martin Smith, which Val produced an evaluation report on. The Young People’s Group Turned the Tables on their parents by showing them how to eat healthily: Val’s report can be read here
