The Branch combines the Central Borders Adult 1:1 service and Young People's Service with the Borders-wide Buddies service.  It also runs a football group in Galashiels

2. Buddies has 2 strands:

• Evening Class Buddies: Volunteers supporting adults with learning disabilities at mainstream Evening Classes.

  Buddies helps adults with learning disabilities attend evening classes at Borders College with the support of a volunteer.

  Interest Link pays volunteers' course fees,  and their travel and other expenses as usual.

  Courses taken include Computers for Beginners,  Drawing & Painting , Movement for the Over 50’s, Cabinet-making, Desktop Publishing, Cookery, Yoga, Skin Care and Digital Photography.

• Placements: Borders College students taking Highers in Care can be placed as an Interest Link volunteer as part of their course.

   3. Football Group. 

Do you like football and have a lunch hour to spare every 2 weeks  on a Monday? Then how about joining in with our football group in Galashiels?
